Nicki is at fault. But this also shows the sexism in music industry. Many male rappers have done shittier things than this and yet they weren't 'cancelled'. And I'm saying this despite not stanning her.

tbh, I think the reason a lot of male rappers don't get criticised as often is because they're kind of expected to be kind of shitty people. I'm not saying it's right, but thats genuinely how I think a lot of people view the situation. If Migos or Future, for example, were to release a song with 6ix9ine, then they probably wouldn't get criticised too much. Yet if a pop artist like Bruno Mars or Ariana Grande were to do a song with 6ix9ine, everyone would be dragging them and there'd be no end to the amount of thinkpieces about it. I just think a lot of people hold rappers to a lower moral standard to other mainstream artists. I think Nicki Minaj is held to a higher standard than most rappers because she is seen as more of a popstar than a rapper to the GP, despite making hip hop music. Again, I'm not saying it's right that popstars are held to a higher standards, or that it's right that a lot of people assume rappers are shitty people, but that's how I think a lot of people view the situation.
